Rich in history, heritage and horses there really is nothing like the Ipswich Cup. But it is more than a horse race; it is the social day of the year for the greater Ipswich region.

The Ipswich Cup attracts over 15,000 racegoers who converge on the Ipswich Turf Club to enjoy in the day’s entertainment. Something the community has been doing since 1866!

Whether it’s the horses you follow, the fashions on the field, DJ festival or just catching up with old friends, the Ipswich Cup is the event not to be missed.

In 2005, the original Ipswich Cup was purchased for $10,000 by a group of local business people and is now held at the Ipswich Art Gallery.
