The Ipswich Cup FAQ's

Below are the answers to our most commonly asked questions.

From 1am on Thursday, April 14 2022, patrons of the Ipswich Turf Club no longer require to be fully vaccinated to be onsite. The Club will continue to follow Queensland Government guidelines regarding COVID-19 protocols as required.



Members, VIPs and Racing Queensland Licensees have access to the main carpark. Please note the car park will be closed for entry or exit from 4pm - 6pm.
Public parking is available at the ITC car park
Persons with disabilities are able to access the car park at the ITC. Persons with disabilities can also be dropped off near the front gate.

Road Closures

TL Cooney Ave is only accessible by public transport and emergency services.

Open at 10am. You do not need to print your ticket for entry.
You can check in from your phone. Check your ticket for your specific Gate entry.

Packaged services open at 11am. Your ticket only allows you to access the specific area you have purchased a ticket into and the General Admission area.
Public & members services
Start at 10am. Reciprocal membership is unavailable for the Ipswich Cup. NO CASH SALES available at BARS or FOOD OUTLETS. This excludes member's and owner's areas. Click here for the Public Bar Beverage List. Dress code - click here

Fashions on the Field

The River 94.9FM Fashions on the Fields stage is located at the courtyard just inside the main gates. Please note you require a ticket for the 2022 Ipswich Cup to access the Fashions on the Field event. It is strictly an 18+ event. It is not recommended that you participate in the Fashions on the Field event if you have an Infield ticket due to the time it will take to get to the stage. All other tickets provide access to the stage but it is recommended you make your way here on arrival after checking through your appropriate ticketed area. You must enter through the gate that corresponds with your purchased ticket.


Heats will commence at approximately 11:00am. Finals will be run immediately following the conclusion of the heats. Entry is available - click here.

Ipswich Cup Infield Festival

Entry is only available via Gate 8 from 10:00am and operational when races allow. DJ festival will commence at 11am. Only those with a Corona Infield Marquee ticket or a Private Infield Marquee ticket have access to the DJ festival.

After Party

Oz Hornz will get you dancing after the last race and will play until 7:30pm in the Forecourt. All tickets provide access to the After Party.

18 Years + Event

The Ipswich Cup is strictly an 18+ Event. Government Issued photo identification will be required at the gate. Accepted types of identification include drivers licence, learners permit, valid passport, adult proof of age card (Keypass ID) and foreign drivers licence (must include photo and date of birth). Final approval will be at the discretion of  Security on the day. In the best interest of all parties, we are unable to welcome children or anyone under the age of 18 years of any patron including owners and trainers to the June 18 meeting. To avoid disappointment please make arrangements prior to attending.

Dress Code

Public areas - Smart casual. Appropriate shoes must be worn at all times. No thongs permitted.

Member’s Lounge – Closed in shoes and collared shirt for men. Neat dress in keeping with contemporary standards for ladies. No midriffs. Dress jeans or dress shorts without rips are acceptable.

The ITC management reserves the right to exercise discretion in respect to dress regulations.

Licensees / Owners

Only Racing Queensland licensees can access the grounds via the horse gate or jockeys may enter through gate 9.

Owners are able to access the grounds through Gate 2. You must be listed in the race book as an owner to receive a pass. A total of 10 passes per horse are available but you must be listed as an owner in the race book. Syndicates should email their list of 10 names to prior to race day.

Other Questions 

CHAIRS & ESKIES - NO eskies or chairs brought on site are permitted.

CLOAK ROOM - There is a cloak room available at the outfield area only.


TICKET CHANGES - Ensure you make the correct ticket purchase as we are unable to make changes or cancel. You are able to change names on the ticket via the email you received on purchase - click here (external site) for instructions. Names will not be checked at the gate although it is highly recommended your ticket includes your name as it will assist in solving any potential gate issues.  

GATES - Please refer to your ticket for Gate entry. You are unable to enter through an alternative gate. No pass outs available for General Admission ticket holders.

RECIPROCAL MEMBERSHIP - Unfortunately we are unable to offer reciprocal membership at feature meetings or the Ipswich Cup.
