A great night out awaits at the TAB Ipswich Cup Calcutta New

The countdown to Cup Day is on, and there’s no better way to kick things off than at the TAB Ipswich Cup Calcutta.

Join us on Thursday, June 18 from 6pm in the Grange Lounge at Ipswich Turf Club for an evening of excitement, entertainment and a little bit of luck. Whether you’re a seasoned racing fan or just looking for a fun night out with friends, the Calcutta is a must-attend event during TAB Ipswich Cup week.

Entry is completely free, with complimentary canapés served throughout the evening and the bar open for refreshments - so you can settle in and enjoy the atmosphere as anticipation builds toward Cup Day.

This year’s Calcutta will be conducted on the Barrier Reef Pools Eye Liner Stakes (Listed), featuring a capacity field of up to 16 runners. The night begins with a raffle, where tickets are just $10 each. If luck is on your side and you draw a horse, you’ll be in the running to win big when the race is run on June 20.

Ipswich Turf Club Chief Executive Nathan Exelby says the Calcutta is a highlight of Cup week.

“Calcuttas are a great tradition in Australian racing and we’re excited to bring this event back to TAB Ipswich Cup week,” he said.

“The raffle gives everyone the chance to share in the excitement and punters can flex their muscle against each other as the auction unfolds.

“Above all, it promises to be a fun evening for members, special guests and friends of the club as we count down to Cup Day.”
