Bumper week on and off the course

Bumper week on and off the course

Date: 17-Jul-2020

It’s a huge week trackside for the Ipswich Turf Club which welcomes back racing patrons to the grounds for the first time since October on Saturday plus launches a new website.

General Manager Brett Kitching said the organisation had embraced the quiet period and had worked tirelessly behind the scenes to transform the venue into something Ipswich and the greater region will be keen to support.

“Running under the Ipswich Events & Entertainment Centre banner, the venue now offers more than just racing,” Mr Kitching said.

“From horse racing to wedding ceremonies and receptions, markets and conferences, family dining and sports bar entertainment, we have something for everyone.

“Part of this major development has included launching a new website to complement the expanding site. You can still find us at www.ipswichturfclub.com.au however as we branch into developing the function side of the business we felt it important to redevelop the website.

“The Ipswich Events & Entertainment Centre can be found at www.ieec.com.au and provides clients with a contemporary and more efficient platform to discover more about the venue.

Mr Kitching added the Centre would open the Thoroughbreds Sports Bar and Barn Family Restaurant in the next few weeks.

“The Ipswich Events & Entertainment Centre will open two new exciting spaces for the public to enjoy and once restrictions lift we will have a seven-day per week operation.”

An official opening of the site is anticipated later this year when all projects have been completed.
