The Ipswich Turf Club is going to hold a small fundraiser for injured local jockey Anna Bakos, who was left with a broken leg after a nasty incident at Roma last Saturday.
Anna, who recently celebrated her marriage to Michael Schrapel at the ITC, suffered the injuries following a barrier incident and now faces a lengthy stint on the sidelines.
To assist, the ITC will hold a sausage sizzle to raise funds for Anna at our Easter Monday raceday on April 1 next week.
Funds will be raised via a gold coin donation.
The club did a similar event earlier this year for another injured local jockey, Emily Pomfrett.
The club is looking forward to a terrific day of racing on Easter Monday, with great off the track activities organised as well. There will be an Animal Farm and Easter Egg hunt - free of charge - for all children who attend the races next Monday.
