Jesse Townsend is living his dream of being a trainer, while working as a farrier, and won’t be surprised if Brechen can give him his first metropolitan winner at Ipswich on Wednesday.
Townsend is into his fourth season of training and has a stable of 12, which he works each day before heading off to do his farrier work.
“I’m desperate to win my first metro race as I’ve been placed quite a few times in town,” Townsend said.
“I train the horses of a morning and then I go and do my farrier work at places like Washpool Lodge, where I spend two days a week shoeing horses. READ MORE
