A great night out at the TAB Ipswich Cup Calcutta! New

Bring your friends, have the chance to win big, enjoy a feed on the Ipswich Turf Club and strap yourself in for a fantastic evening!

The TAB Ipswich Cup Calcutta is back and on home soil in 2025, being hosted in the Grange Lounge at the Turf Club.

Entry is FREE and canapes will be served complimentary to guests right throughout the evening as we count down to Ipswich Cup Day. The bar will be open for refreshments.

The Calcutta will be conducted on the Barrier Reef Pools Eye Liner Stakes (Listed), which can have a capacity field up to 16 runners.

The Calcutta features a raffle (tickets $10 each) where you can potentially win big if you are lucky enough to draw a horse, followed by the Calcutta auction, where punters can bid on the horse of their choice and scoop the pool if your selection wins the feature race on June 21. There will also be consolation prizes for raffle ticket holders that fail to land a horse in the big race.

“Calcuttas are a great tradition in Australian racing and we’re excited to bring this event back to TAB Ipswich Cup week,” Ipswich Turf Club Chief Executive Nathan Exelby said.

“The raffle gives everyone the chance to share in the excitement and punters can flex their muscle against each other as the auction unfolds.

“Above all though, this promises to be a fun evening for members, special guests and friends of the club as we count down to Cup Day. We look forward to seeing a big crowd at the Grange Lounge on June 19."
