The Ipswich Turf Club grounds have once again been transformed into tent city as the course readies itself for an inundation of race fans and party goers this Saturday.
The ITC grounds are a hive of activity this week as the final marquee structures go up, decorations are applied and food and beverages are distributed to the various event locations around the grounds. The kitchen will move into overdrive later this week as head chef Josh and his willing group of assistants put together a feast of culinary delights to be enjoyed across the entire precinct on Saturday.
We are fortunate to have a tremendous team of people, from our food and beverage and kitchen staff to the tracks team and an army of outside staff. Without their dedicated efforts, there is no way an event of this magnitude could go ahead. The team has been burning the candle at both ends to ensure the grounds are in pristine condition and everything is in place for all attendees to have a memorable time this weekend.
A small number of tickets are still available for the Bundy Bitumen Bash and Grange Garden functions, while the traditional late acquisition of infield tickets is in full motion this week as the festival numbers swell rapidly towards previous year tallies.
The club is truly appreciative of the support it receives from the Ipswich and wider community, continuing to make this one of the 'must-do' events on the calendar. We look forward to welcoming you all to the Ipswich Turf Club this Saturday for the TAB Ipswich Cup.
