The Ipswich Winter Racing Carnival will officially launch on Sunday with the Channel Seven Family Race Day at the Ipswich Turf Club.
Chairman Wayne Patch said the Club was thrilled to partner with the Ipswich City Council to provide several events throughout the month-long Festival of Horsepower program.”
“We’ve extended our Carnival schedule this year to include the Channel Seven Family Day and TAB Ipswich Cup providing the community with several opportunities to get involved and enjoy our new facilities,” Mr Patch said.
“Our pinnacle event, the TAB Ipswich Cup on 19 June, is undoubtedly the highlight for us and the team is working hard to ensure the event is better than ever before.”
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said Council is pleased to welcome more world-class events to Ipswich with the Festival of Horsepower.
“It is a perfect combination of horse racing and motorsport that promises to be big, loud, fast and a massive spectacle for the whole family,” Mayor Harding said.
“The Ipswich Winter Racing Carnival is another great opportunity to visit the Ipswich Turf Club and experience the best in racing.”
The Ipswich Winter Racing Carnival kicks off on Sunday with the Channel Seven Family Race day.
Kids will enjoy the free activities including animal farm, reptile display, mechanical horse and kids fashions on the field plus the inaugural running of the River 949FM Dad’s Bod Bolt.
