ITC seeks Sales and Event Coordinator

Do you have demonstrated experience in the sales and event coordination space with a passion for delivering high levels of customer service? The Ipswich Turf Club (ITC) and Ipswich Events and Entertainment Centre (IEEC) is seeking a new team member with an excellent eye for detail, exceptional organisation skills and can-do attitude.

JOB TYPE Permanent Part-Time or Full-Time with flexibility to work across the week as required.

REPORT TO Marketing, Sales and Communications Manager
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the complete event experience from sales enquiry to event.
- Strategically identify client opportunities to grow the functions and event business.
- Coordinate the event details for the operational team to roll out.
- Assist in the preparation of business reporting necessary to ensure effective co-ordination of the function and event sales.
- Develop and execute ITC and IEEC events.
- Coordinate an Ipswich Cup program including client marquees.
- Represent and promote the business and industry.
- Assist operations and marketing departments as required.
- Assist with general office administration tasks as required.

- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and develop an understanding of their needs and expectations.
- To provide market leading solutions for clients to deliver amazing events.
- Host and facilitate pre-event meetings with the client, to include site inspections, networking opportunities and any other required meetings.
- High level of communication and negotiation skills.
- Organised with keen attention to detail and possess the ability to multitask.
- Managing competing deadlines and meeting deadlines.
- Prompt response to all enquiries and client requests
- Vibrant personality, professional and always well-presented.

PERFORMANCE GOALS
- Demonstrate strong customer focus, whilst ensuring clear communication is maintained with all relevant departments during the sales process.
- Deliver comprehensive, accurate, and customised proposals within a timely manner, and ensure timely follow up communication.
- Prepare agreements within a timely manner, whilst negotiating commercial terms and conditions.
- Awareness of the key revenue goals and targets of the department and focus all activities towards achieving these goals.
- Conduct proactive sales calls to drive lead generation.
- Assist and offer support to other teams within the business as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant degree, in an event, sales or business discipline, from an academic institution desirable.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher and MS PowerPoint.
- Experience with Canva, Lightroom
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Events and/or Hospitality Industry highly desirable.
- Previous experience within a function business, including a range of event types and corporate style meetings would be beneficial.
- Experience with event management software would also be highly regarded.
